Quick Fix Facials Review.

Teenagers in the UK will remember the £1 sheet masks used in sleepovers that never really did anything. It's no surprise that it's difficult to find a face mask that does what it say on the tin but for a fair price. 

Anyone who follows the beauty community on YouTube will be aware of the Glam Glow face masks, they'll also be aware off their very hefty price tag.

Well say hello to a very small brand called Quick Fix Facials, something I found in Boots the first time hidden away on a bottom shelf but don't let that fool you, their name alone is a pretty big claim and just £5 each they are accessible to mostly everyone, but are they any good?

Have Courage, Be Kind : The Tale of Cinderella.

2015 hailed the return of one of Disney's beloved Princesses of old, Cinderella.
With it came a whole lot of criticism about whether Cinderella is outdated, how it goes against feminism because the main character is too passive and waits around for a Prince to rescue her. I ask the question, have they been watching the same footage I have?
If I gained anything from watching the trailers and reading the new book which is based on the script for the movie, it's that this new Cinderella takes a classic tale and turns it on its head, keeping its otherworldly charm and magic whilst providing a suitably welcome modern update.

A.K.A Buy anything and everything Disney to hold on to a little piece of that magic. 

Then one of my ICP room mates Ainsley Rogers instagrammed a picture of Disney themed candles. As a candle addict and a Disney addict, I purchased my own straight away. 

Boots Beauty Haul.

Over the past month or so I've made a few trips to Boots, armed with my advantage card and vouchers I bought things I needed but also treated myself, a luxury many of us can't afford so I thought it would be nice to share my most recent beauty splurge.

My Favourite Glitter Top Coat.

It's no secret that glitter nail polish is an absolute nightmare to get off. Sadly I'm not here to tell you that the reason I love this particular one is because it's easier to get off, because it isn't, but that isn't a reason to write it off.

Current Music Favourites.

I'm one of those people who believes that music makes the world go round.

In my opinion there's a song that corresponds to what ever is going on in your life, music can make or break a film, and the most important, it helps me to concentrate. 

When I'm writing or doing work, I always need background noise to fill my head to avoid distractions that absolute silence brings, more often than not, music is that background noise. So I thought I would share my current top music favourites.

I seem to be writing a lot of these posts lately.

Anyway, you may or may not notice that this blog has been through some changes, yet again, this time I didn't just stop with a redesign, it got a new name too. (Yes I know the URL is still the same, but for now we're gong roll with it).

So welcome to Becca's Life.

The new incarnation of the former Beka's View, why the difference in spelling you may ask?

Well my sister has always commented on the fact that the way I spell the shortened version of my name doesn't look very professional, and she's right. Every job I've had, my name tag has always read Rebecca or Becca but never Beka. So that's why I changed it, don't worry I'm still the same person!

My redesign before Christmas was ambitious and admittedly messy with about 8 different pages, so I've simplified it into three, (not including about me) these are:

Lifestyle: Posts about my life and interests. i.e. University, What I did today, My Disney experience.
Beauty: Loves, Hates, Reviews, Looks and everything in between.
Reviews: Everything from beauty to books, films to TV shows.

Some posts may fall under more than one category, in which case they will be available on both pages.

I hope you love the redesign as much as I do, I even got to grips with a bit of new technology (well new to me at least), you may notice the social media buttons in the side bar, those are all working links to my current social media (excluding Facebook, apologies but I would rather keep that private), so please come say hi to me over there as well!
